It’s hard to strike out when you’ve drafted the homerun champion and MVP
Aaron Judge on your team. We managed to hit it out of the park for the Central
California Blood Center
when we teamed up with Aaron’s All-Rise Foundation, which
strives to lift kids up with the values that make for better adults. Not only did we see the
desired increase in
visits by younger donors and a spike in school blood drives, but lots
of adult baseball fans (and folks who love a hometown hero) stepped to the plate to
give blood. Increases in
‘presenting’ donors rose (well, we did say “Rise Up”), with
sustained month-over-month increases after year one of the campaign even
during the traditionally slowest months for blood donation.
